Does insurance cover Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy?
At this time, health insurance companies do not cover KAP. However, we offer options to help make it affordable.
Psychedelics of Louisville is considered an out-of-network provider, and some health insurance plans have coverage allowances. When you schedule your treatments, we will process out-of-pocket payments to hold appointments. Then, when you come in for your appointment, we will generate a convenient “superbill” so you can submit it to your insurance for processing and reimbursement according to your plan.
What is a "superbill"?
A “superbill” is a list of services you obtained from a healthcare provider. You might have to give your insurance provider a superbill to get paid or reimbursed for services. The procedure for receiving and submitting a superbill should be discussed with the insurance company.
Can I use my HSA and FSA accounts to pay for KAP?
Yes, we do accept credit cards tied to those accounts and can email you a receipt.
Do you offer discounts for KAP?
We offer discounts for military, medical, and first responders and occasionally offer specials or seasonal promotions.
How do I find out if my insurance company covers KAP?
Before starting KAP, check with your insurance provider to determine if they offer coverage. Even if coverage is limited, don’t lose hope. It may be helpful to submit a superbill for reimbursement. Even a small reimbursement can make a significant difference, helping to cover or offset the costs of KAP and making it more affordable.
